The Ahr Valley-Courier

The railway runs air-conditioned diesel trains daily all year round, leaving every hour and travelling between Remagen and Ahrbrueck through the wildly romantic Ahr Valley. A day ticket costs 18- Euros for up to five people. In the autumn, a special train with steam engine travels into the Valley.

The Drachenfels Train

From Koenigswinter the train takes you straight to the Siebengebirge on the Drachenfels. Germanys oldest rack railway is now pulled by an electric train, but it hasnt lost any of its original charm. The track is 1.5 kilometers long and takes you 220 meters uphill!

The Kasbach Valley Train

This route between Linz \/ Rhine and Vettelschoß-Kalenborn in the Siebengebirge was revived in 1999. The historical carriages take 22 minutes to travel the 9 km long stretch that goes up 300 meters. The track passes through untouched forest areas of the Kasbach Valley. Halfway up, you can take a break and visit the Steffens brewery.
